Loved the park! Took a day trip from myrtle beach! Did the majority of the palmetto trail and it was awesome! Loved the openings on Kelsey creek! They made for a good few cool down spots. I didnt realize until finished that the Advance America Bridge was super close to the parking area and not really on the main part of the trail! Quick access to the bridge is parking near the horse area and office!

Well maintained and great rangers. It is very nice. Has a small store and horses show ring, camping, boats for rent must bring a trolling motor if you need one. Lots of trails for walking and riding horses. Well placed and kept bathrooms. A playground for the kids, a ton of grills and picnic tables.

Staff is very friendly, helpful! Nice views of the lake, but leveling a large rig is tough in many sites in the lake loop. Site 38 was a 12% grade backed straight down towards the lake though the website called it "level". We were happy to change to site 28, pull thru which still pushed our auto level to its max. Worth it for the view.

If I could possibly build a cabin in those woods and live there forever. That's what I would do. this park is amazing! The history involved in the past and in the present is simply astoundingperiod every single time I go there I am reminded that we are living in one of the Thirteen Original Colonies people we are standing on America's history in that place drives it home every time I go there. It is clean, it is beautiful, it is full of trails and it's never crowded. What can I tell you except that I love love love it.
