Cotton Belt Trail

About Us:

The Cotton Belt Trail is part of the planned Dallas Fort Worth Veloweb which will connectCottonbelt Trail suburbs to downtown and residential neighborhoods to the areas where the residents work. Currently the trail consists of segments through North Richland Hills, Hurst, Colleyville and Grapevine, stretching between Browning Drive in North Richland Hills and Ira E. Wood Avenue at Ball Street in Grapevine. There are plans to extend the trail southeast from North Richland Hills through Haltom City and into Fort Worth.

The Hurst trail head is located at the 7300 Block of Precinct Line Road. The North Richland Hills, Hurst and Colleyville segments are continuous, the trail following the old Cotton Belt Railroad line. The corridor is shaded in many places, passing among neighborhoods, business districts and city parks. The Hurst segment of the Cotton Belt Trail stretches for one mile from Precinct Line Road at the Hurst/North Richland Hills city line to the Hurst/Colleyville near the intersection of Bettinger Drive and L. D. Lockett Road.
